In September 2011, resident ASTA Swim Teacher Rhonda Fitton won AUSTSWIM Teacher of People with a Disability of the Year at the NSW Water Safety Awards held at Le Montage, Sydney.

Rhonda is extremely passionate about learn to swim, especially teaching children and adults with a disability. Rhonda spends a great deal of time getting to know her students and their families so that she can better adapt her class to each individual.

She is well respected by her peers and the families she works with and we are very proud of her achievement. Congratulations!
